I started Sightline in 2012 after watching too many homeowners in Hialeah Gardens get a verbal “ballpark” that ballooned once the old frame came out. That doesn’t happen here. Haven Clause 1 means the measurement and the quote are the same document, and I review every one before it goes to a customer. I still walk jobs in Palm Springs North and West Haven when a sightline measurement is tricky or a custom geometric window needs field verification. My worst day on a job was a 2019 install on West 80th Street where we discovered the original builder had shimmed a load-bearing header with plywood scraps. We stopped, documented it, and fixed it properly. The customer still has that photo record. I don’t write marketing copy; I write scopes of work. But I wanted you to know who’s holding the pen.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2017 and runs the crew on every impact window install from Hialeah Gardens up through Miami Lakes. He’s certified in PGT and CGI impact-rated systems, and he’s the one who catches what others miss. Last spring in the Country Club of Miami area, he spotted a 3/16-inch frame twist on a retrofit opening that would’ve cracked the new laminated glass within two years. He rebuilt the buck instead of forcing the unit in. Off the job, Marcus keeps a 1978 Chevy stepside in his garage in Hialeah that he’s been restoring one weekend at a time. He says working on something you can’t rush keeps him patient with finicky custom window orders.

Elena specializes in energy-efficient retrofits and sliding patio door systems, with additional training on Therma-Tru entry door configurations and ViewLux large-format glass walls. She came to us from commercial glazing in 2019 and brought a rigor we didn’t know we needed. Her pet peeve is finding existing windows in Hialeah Gardens homes where the previous installer never sealed the nail fin to the WRB, so water’s been sneaking behind the stucco for a decade. Danny is the voice you hear when you call (786) 321-3812 at 10 p.m. because a storm’s rolling in and you’re not sure your old shutters will hold. He’s been with Sightline since 2020 and knows our product lines cold, PGT through Mr-Glass. He schedules, he follows up, and he flags jobs that need Sonia’s eyes before we commit. Danny grew up in Hialeah Gardens, went to Hialeah Gardens High, and still hits the Cuban coffee window on West 68th Street most mornings. He remembers addresses by what was wrong the last time, not by street number. “The house with the bowed header on 94th” is clearer to him than any GPS pin.
Joel P., Apprentice Installer
Joel joined us in 2023 through a trade program partnership and is working toward his independent installer certification under Elena’s mentorship. He’s already competent on standard vinyl replacement windows and basic door retrofits, and he’s learning to read U-factor and SHGC specs so he can explain them in plain terms to homeowners in Palm Springs North who just want to know why their FPL bill won’t drop. Joel asks more questions than anyone on the crew, which is exactly what we want. He lives with his grandmother in West Haven and takes the bus to our warehouse when his truck’s in the shop. He says watching Elena’s photo documentation process taught him that the job isn’t done when the window is in, it’s done when the customer has evidence it was done right.
